Miko Shudo is a musician, based in the Los Angeles area. Miko found her love for music when her mom placed her in front of the TV at the age of 3 to watch a performance of the Three Tenors accompanied by a symphony orchestra. She is passionate about community, mental health, mindfulness, vegan food; and has recently taken a love for songwriting and social dancing. Miko has performed for various Japanese American organizations and events such as Buddhist Churches of America, Azuma Kotobuki Kai, Keiro, Cherry Blossom Festival, Grateful Crane Ensemble, and JANM. Miko aims to bring people together and to encourage self-reflection through her music.

Special guests artist Nancy Uyemura and writer Ana Iwataki will join Alan in a fun conversation about their shared past and future experiences.
We are also excited to be joined by singer-songwriter Miko Shudo who will perform several pieces with Alan.
Alan Nakagawa is an interdisciplinary artist with archiving tendencies, primarily working with sound, often incorporating various media and working with communities and their histories.
