This Valentine’s Day, we are thinking about a storied Los Angeles French restaurant
and the kitchen where Chef Akira and Jo Ann met. 

When Chef Akira was working alongside L’Orangerie’s head chef Jean François, the owner Mr. Ferry asked Akira to fill a vacancy at the cold appetizer station. Jo Ann saw the job posting on the Little Tokyo Yaohan market cork board — and the rest is history.
