This Sunday, Naomi Hirahara will be joining us to read excerpts from her recent hit novel Clark and Division and lead us through the community-based research and writing process on Japanese Americans in post-war Chicago. Attendees with connections to Chicago are encouraged to share their own stories. Naomi’s Chicago will come alive in our menu featuring a re-creation of Hamburger King’s Akutagawa, salad with the Edgewater Hotel Dressing, Strawberry Cheesecake and a Baby Ruth.
